At Impressions Orthodontics we value both your time and ours. The purpose of this policy is to ensure quality orthodontic care, and to minimize the inconvenience of waiting for treatment.
All regular adjustment appointments are scheduled at 6-8 week intervals and are twenty (20) minutes long. Any appointments that are longer than twenty (20) minutes are scheduled during school or work hours, as these appointments will entail more lengthy procedures. We require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you cannot keep your scheduled appointments. Our office charges $35.00 for every appointment missed without sufficient notice.
We have put much time and effort into designing our scheduling system. Ultimately, however, the success of such a system relies heavily upon our patients. We encourage all our patients to arrive atleast five minutes before the appointment time to allow for proper check-in and tooth brushing. If the patient is late for an appointment, we will try to treat the patient, but not at the expense of other patients who have arrived on time. We may ask the patient to wait or the appointment may need to be rescheduled for a later date.
If you need to reschedule your appointment we ask that you call at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. Our office charges $35.00 for every appointment missed without sufficient notice. Our after-school appointments are booked far in advance and therefore you may not be able to reschedule your appointment for your desired appointment time.
This affects not just us but potentially prolongs your orthodontic treatment. We ask you, if you cannot attend your regularly scheduled appointment, please call at least 48 hours ahead. Our office charges $35.00 for every appointment missed without sufficient notice.
Accidents do happen, even with the best orthodontists, staff, and patients. Fortunately, most orthodontic "emergencies" are not critical. Please call the office in the event of any emergency (appliance breakage and wire pokes). Please notify us of a broken brace even if your appointment is the next day. If the patient has a loose brace or broken wire, additional time will be needed to correct the problem. If a patient is scheduled for a short appointment and is found to have broken braces, wires, etc., they may need to be rescheduled to another day.
